Seti River 2 Days

The Seti River is one of the most beautiful and pristine rivers in the Himalayas and is famous for its dazzling scenery is a gentle river, attracting families, bird watchers, nature lovers and dreamers. With dense remote jungle, exquisite sandy beaches and Class II-III whitewater running. This river takes rafters through lovely forested regions and over plenty of easy rapids. The put-in point being close to the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway, is easily reached after a short drive. Most of the year, during the monsoon, its swollen rapids prove an exciting test for experienced rafters and kayakers. It is truly a great fun trip perfectly designed for you to get along with your near and dear ones on the raft. The floating crystal blue water gives you ample opportunity to swim on the flat water. At the same time, you will be accompanied by learner kayakers and instructors which makes the trip sensational.

This River has relatively small volume but blue and warm water and we recommend this as an ideal short trip for first time rafters or as "Warm-up" for intermediate kayakers. After your elating white water trip you have options either to drive or fly back to Kathmandu or to visit the Royal Chitwan National Park or again you can go for the trekking trip in the popular area of Annapurna region for few days. The copious vegetation visible along the river is a remnant of the vast forested area, which once covered the middle hills of Nepal. This area is inhabited by Magar who are renowned for generations of service with the Gurkha forces. Saranghat is a colorful middle hill village where you will have first night`s camp on a spacious beach below the village. Admire the opulent flora and fauna as you safari on the back of an elephant. One of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros lives in the park, which is also one of the last refuges of the Bengal tiger; dolphins and crocodiles can also been seen as you canoe along the Narayani River.

Damauli, the put-in point for rafting on Seti River is 5 hours from Kathmandu by tourist bus. The take-out point of Seti river trip is at Gaighat and it is approximately 4 - 5 hours drive from both Kathmandu and Pokhara. After you complete the rafting adventure trip, you get a choice between coming back to Kathmandu or continuing journey to visit the Royal Chitwan National Park or to Pokhara.

Day 1: Drive to Damauli, and short rafting trip/ camping at Corridor of jungle near the riverbank.

Day 2: Corridor of jungle nears the riverbank to Gaighat; rafting till probably 3PM and drive back to Kathmandu or visit Chitwan National Park or drive to Pokhara.
