Dhaulagiri Round Trekking 22 days

Dhaulagiri Round Trekking is one of the most popular and the most challenging trekking in Nepal. Dhaulagiri is the sixth highest mountain in the world. No doubt, you will have the most exciting experience from the trekking and be enchanted with the scenes of the area.

Dhaulagiri round trekking begins from Kathmandu to Beni by bus, from Beni, we set out trekking on foot. In between, we happen to cross many cultivated fields, forests and villages, where various ethnic groups reside, namely, Gurung, Chhetri, and Magar etc. and after few days trip, we reach at Italian base camp, from where we can see the exciting views of Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV& V. we will have a rest for few days for acclimatize with the altitude.

Once we are ready, we head on to Dhaulagiri north base camp, and continue our trek to the French pass [5,240 m] and Thapa pass [5,155 m]. In between we can encounter semi-wild yak herds, mountain sheep or the elusive snow leopard etc and we also can see the views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Throng peak, Annapurna and Kali Gandaki River; the world deepest gorge. Subsequently, we descend down to Marpha, a popular city of Mustang district, which is situated between majestic mountain of Annapurna, Nilgiri and Machhapuchhare, and then we reach at Tatopani [Natural hot-water in Nepali], where we can have a bath as well. From Tatopani, we ascend down to Pokhara and then finally back to Kathmandu.

Trekking Itinerary :

Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu 1334m, transfer to hotel , Around Dhaulagiri trekking briefing with officially arrangements. overnight at kathmandu hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and prepare for Dhaulagiri Trekking.

Day 03: Kathmandu by bus or private vehicle to Beni(810m)

Day 04: Beni to Babichor (950m)

Day 05: Babichor to Darbang (1030m)

Day 06: Darbang to Sibang (1720m)

Day 07: Sibang to Muri (1840m)

Day 08: Muri to Boghara (1990m)

Day 09: Boghara to Dobang (2400m)

Day 10: Dobang to Chartare (2820m)

Day 11: Chartare to Pakabon (3585m)

Day 12: Pakabon to camp near glacier (3810m)

Day 13 : Dhaulagiri glacier camp to Dhaulagiri base camp (4750m)

Day 14 : Acclimatization at Mt. Dhulagiri Base Camp

Day 15 : Dhaulagiri base camp to Hidden valley (4900m), French pass (5360m) cross

Day 16: Trek to Yak kharka (3990m), Thapa pass (5230m) cross

Day 17 :
Trek to Kaligandaki valley - Marpha (2667m)

Day 18 : Marpha to Kagbeni (2807m)

Day 19: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3802m)

Day 20: Muktinath to Jomsom (2713m)

Day 21 : Jomsom by flight back to Pokhara (915m)

Day 22: pokhara by bus or flight back to Kathmandu (1350m)

Day 23: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to for historical monuments sightseeing in kathmandu valley such as Boudhhanath : visit Bodhnath Stupa, one of the best Buddhist shrines in the world, where we observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa than visit Pashupatinath: the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Here you see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the ghats. Kathmandu durbar square: you will enjoy with different Hindus Temple , Goddes Kumari, legend of kathmadu valley etc and in the evening farewell dinner in Nepalese Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel.

Day 24: After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities , our representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward journeys or if you have time to stay in Nepal will arrange any other trip such as Chitwan Junlge safari tour, Lumbini tour, Chitwan jungle safari tour , river rafting etc.
