The Manang Trek is part of the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and cultural richness. You will find some of the most varied views on a journey. Strolling around the Annapurna Circuit will offer you a front-row seat to some of the most striking snow-capped peaks in the Himalayas, along with picturesque mountain towns that have managed to preserve Tibetan Buddhist customs and culture.

Itinerary

  • Drive: Kathmandu to Besisahar (6-7 hours)
  • Highlights: Scenic drive through hills, terraced fields, and small villages.

  • Drive/Trek: Besisahar to Chame by jeep or trek (7-8 hours if trekking)
  • Highlights: Drive through beautiful valleys and rivers, first views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.

  • Trek: Chame to Pisang (5-6 hours)
  • Highlights: Walk through dense forests, cross suspension bridges, and enjoy views of Pisang Peak.

  • Trek: Pisang to Manang (5-6 hours)
  • Highlights: Trek through the Upper Pisang route for better mountain views, visit Braga Monastery, explore Manang village.

  • Activities: Short hikes to Ice Lake (4,600m) or Gangapurna Lake, visit the Himalayan Rescue Association.
  • Highlights: Acclimatize to the altitude, enjoy stunning views of Annapurna and Gangapurna.

  • Trek: Manang to Yak Kharka (4-5 hours)
  • Highlights: Gradual ascent through alpine landscapes, pass through juniper and alpine forests, see yaks grazing.

  • Trek: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4-5 hours)
  • Highlights: Cross a suspension bridge, ascend to Thorong Phedi, stunning mountain views.

  • Trek: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (7-8 hours)
  • Highlights: Early morning ascent to Thorong La Pass, breathtaking views from the pass, descent to Muktinath, visit the Muktinath Temple.

  • Trek: Muktinath to Jomsom (5-6 hours)
  • Highlights: Trek through Kagbeni, walk along the Kali Gandaki River, explore Jomsom town.

  • Flight: Jomsom to Pokhara (20 minutes) and Pokhara to Kathmandu (25 minutes)
  • Highlights: Scenic flights, relax in Pokhara or Kathmandu, reflecting on the trek.

  • During the walk, all meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—will be had three times a day.
  • Equipment for trekking: trekking poles, duffle bags, down jackets, and sleeping bags, among other things.
  • Entry Permit for Annapurna conservation Area
  • In the event that an emergency occurs while you are trekking, we will offer quick, expert rescue and medical assistance. It would be preferable to have your own travel insurance for this, which would pay for medical expenses and helicopter evacuation.
